Paul Christopher, current manager of the Horsham saleyards, Jonathan Crilley, who was managing Ballarat saleyard during the Victorian transition and Mark Inglis, manager of processing plant Thomas Foods will be on a panel to describe the impact of introducing eID into their facilities.

The panel of facility managers will discuss

• What daily operating looks like now – unloading, drafting, flow rates, kill rates, time to complete the ‘paperwork’.
• What they need you to do on farm to maintain supply chain efficiency and save money.
• How non-readers are handled
• What is involved in time and cost of having to tag any stock once they arrive?
• At what point are stock scanned prior to sale?
