Following the introduction of the harvested rangeland goat (HRG) voluntary module on 1 October 2024, several changes have been made in relation to National Vendor Declarations (NVDs) for goat operators.

Goat NVD books

The July 2020 version of the Goat NVD book (0720) is being phased out. Producers can continue to use this version until 30 June 2025 and from 1 July this version will no longer be valid.

The new version of the Goat NVD (0524) is now available and has been updated to remove any reference to harvested rangeland goats and tag-free movements.

Harvested Rangeland Goats NVD books

The new HRG NVD book (0324) and corresponding HRG eNVD will only be available to HRG-accredited producers or registered goat depots who have received approval for tag-free movements from their relevant state or territory government via the voluntary HRG module.

Accredited HRG operators can use the new HRG NVD to continue tag-free mob-based movements of harvested rangeland goats direct to an abattoir or registered goat depot.

Please note, any farmed or managed goats will still need to be moved using the regular Goat NVD (0720 or 0524).

Accessing Goat NVDs electronically

Both the Goat and HRG NVDs are available online via the eNVD mobile or web-based systems within your LPA account.

Advantages of using eNVD:

  • free to use with no limit on the number of consignments you can create
  • immediately accessible anytime
  • automatically updates to the latest version of the NVD for each species.
